- This is so easy to make! Quick prep with minimal ingredients.
- It’s versatile. Customize toppings to suit any occasion.
Ingredients and Variations
Nutella: Buy a big jar of Nutella and use the rest of the jar as a fruit dip, in muffins, or a fancy dessert lasagna.
Cookie Crust: Sugar cookie dough is the ideal base, use leftover dough to make cookies or freeze it for later.
Fruit: Sliced strawberries are the classic topping that pairs perfectly with chocolate, especially with Nutella. It’s like having chocolate-covered strawberries.
Variations
- Try making any flavor of cookie crust you like. Peanut butter, chocolate, or Oreo cookie dough will always be baked into a new cookie pizza recipe.
- Try using blueberries, raspberries, sliced bananas, peaches, apples, pears, kiwis, or any combo of fruit.
- Anything goes on a Nutella pizza. Top pizzas with chocolate chips, chopped nuts, coconut, and crushed cookies like Oreos, Nilla Wafers, or Nutter Butter. A drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce is also a fun and tasty way to top a Nutella pizza.
- Use dark chocolate or milk chocolate shavings instead of white, for a double chocolate effect.
How to Make Nutella Pizza
- Bake and cool the sugar cookie crust (recipe below).
- Spread Nutella over the top of the crust and decorate with strawberry slices and chocolate shavings.
- Cut into slices or squares and serve.
Tips for Success
- Be sure to use the proper sized pan otherwise the cookie will spread too thin and become brittle once it’s fully cooled.
- Allow the cookie crust to cool completely before spreading on the Nutella so it doesn’t melt. Try putting it in the fridge to speed up the cooling process.
How to Store Nutella Pizza
Keep leftover Nutella pizza covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Add fresh fruit toppings before serving.
