One of my favorite meals is a good lasagna dinner! I always struggle with trying to find a side dish for lasagna that isn’t bread or salad, do you know what I mean? I really enjoy a quick, yummy side dish and I have created one for you to help solve your dilemma too.



I love lasagna but I don’t love spending all day prepping and cooking, and if I’m not going to spend all day making mine from scratch, then I choose STOUFFER’S® family size lasagna. It’s the perfect size to feed my family of 6, and I love that it’s made with no preservatives and REAL mozzarella! In my house, if it’s not homemade, it’s STOUFFER’S®! It has all the taste of your homemade lasagna but you don’t have to spend all day in the kitchen! You can find it very easily in the freezer section at Walmart, and the price point is perfect for a budget friendly meal!

Now that you’ve got your main dish, it’s time for the delicious side dish! It’s easy to make and this is a really good change from your regular salad and bread sides! I can’t help myself, I always must have salad with my lasagna, but I also enjoy a little something fun for the side dish as well.

It’s easy to make and this is a really good change from your regular salad and bread sides!

  • 1 lb Zucchini cut into quarters and sliced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  1. In a skillet, over medium heat, warm up olive oil.
  2. Once oil is warmed, add zucchini and garlic salt.
  3. Saute for 5-8 minutes or until zucchini is tender.
  4. Once zucchini is tender, transfer to plate and top with shredded parmesan cheese.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Enjoy!
