Dip, Dive, and Devour!
- Meaty: A queso dip with meat is a must-have for any game-day gathering.
- Simple ingredients: Three steps make this perfect for last-minute snacking with chips, bread, or veggies.
- Extras: There’s always room to add more toppings to customize your dip.
- Make ahead: Prepare in advance and keep refrigerated until ready to reheat.
Flavor-Packed Fixings
Ground Beef: This recipe is great for using leftover taco meat, shredded chicken, or turkey. If time is short, simply stir a can of chili with meat instead. Or go meatless and stir in a can of drained and rinsed black beans and rice.
Cheese: Velveeta is the best cheese for fast and smooth melting but you can melt cream cheese with shredded cheddar, a Mexican blend, or any combination!
Salsa: Make a homemade salsa and make it as mild or spicy as you want!
Mix, Match, and Make It Your Own
- Sneak in some chopped broccoli, kale, or shredded zucchini for a little nutrition (and the kids won’t know)!
- Sliced olives, jalapenos, green chiles, chopped bell peppers, corn niblets, and pico de gallo will make this a new recipe every time!
- Try it with chorizo or other spicy sausage for a different take.
How to Make Beef Queso Dip
- Brown and drain ground beef.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water and simmer.
- Add cheese and salsa and stir until smooth and heated through (full recipe below.)
Serve with sturdy dippers.
Stir and Serve Like a Star!
- Be sure to chop the ground beef as it cooks for a finer grind that’s easier to scoop up! Fully drain the ground beef to keep the dip from becoming greasy.
- If adding in extras, be sure they’re cut to smaller sizes so a little bit of everything gets onto every dipper.
- Make and take in a crock pot so it stays warm! Don’t forget the chips and veggies for dipping and dunking.
Love Your Leftovers
- Use leftover easy beef queso dip for dipping taquitos or as a spread on burgers, hot dogs, or nachos.
- Keep leftover dip in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop with a little milk to loosen the cheese sauce.
