Stuffed Bagels are Amazing!
- TikTok had it right to cook stuffed bagels in the air fryer! This easy recipe only needs a few ingredients and clean-up is a breeze.
- It’s gourmet-level delicious but made fresh and homemade.
- Fancy bagels have savory garlic butter topping that makes them absolutely irresistible.
Ingredients
Bagels: Crispy plain bagels are the perfect vehicle for the 3 cheese mixture and garlic butter.
Cheese: Cream cheese is the star of this recipe. No need to buy the name brand, but full-fat cream cheese will taste the best.
Garlic Butter: Hold onto this garlic butter recipe for everything from bagels to popcorn to pasta. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Cheese Topping: Parmesan and mozzarella melt perfectly in this recipe and add a tangy flavor. It’s the perfect combo to go with the cream cheese filling.
Variations
- Mix and match bagels with different flavors of cream cheese and shredded cheese, or try adding in extras like chopped meats or veggies.
- Real butter always tastes best, but you can use any butter alternative you like.
- Boost garlic butter by adding taco flavor, a zesty Cajun flavor, or some extra everything bagel seasoning.
- Make a dessert bagel and use cinnamon sugar instead of garlic butter!
How to Make Stuffed Bagels
- Cut the top of the bagel into three evenly spaced sections (recipe below).
- Whip cream cheese, place in a piping bag, and fill each section with cream cheese.
- Whisk garlic butter ingredients together, and brush over the top of each bagel.
- Sprinkle with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
- Place each bagel in a single layer in the air fryer and cook.
Tips for Success!
- Always preheat the air fryer before cooking. This allows the hot air to seal the outer part of the bagel, infusing all that tasty butter onto the top!
- Do not cut the bagel all the way through or it won’t stay together.
- No piping bag? No problem! Use a small sandwich bag and snip one corner off for perfect piping. Simply toss when you’re done.
Leftovers
Keep leftover stuffed bagels in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Enjoy them cold or reheat them in the air fryer. Freeze the cooked and cooled stuffed bagels by wrapping them in plastic and placing them in a zippered bag for up to a month. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
