Jello – Orange Jello gives this salad a fun, refreshing creamsicle flavor, add some crunch and color with some shredded carrots and raisins, if you like. You can also try lemon Jello with chopped pineapple.
Whipped Cream – Whipped topping (AKA Cool Whip) has the perfect consistency to hold the mandarin oranges and mini marshmallows. Marshmallow fluff mixed with the whipped cream adds more stability to the salad, if desired. A 4 serving box of vanilla or tapioca pudding will also add more texture and creamy flavor to cottage cheese orange Jello salad!

Cottage Cheese Orange Jello Salad

Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 (3 ounce package) orange Jell-O
- 1 (8 ounce tub) whipped topping such as Cool Whip, thawed
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 (15 ounce can) canned mandarin oranges drained
Instructions
- Combine cottage cheese and dry Jell-O powder in a bowl.
- Fold in whipped topping and marshmallows.
- Add oranges and gently fold them into the mixture.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Canned mandarin oranges break easily so be super careful when folding them in.
- Use one 15 ounce can, or two 10 ounce cans, of mandarin oranges.
- Refrigerate leftovers for 4-5 days in a lightly covered container.
