Recipe Tips & Tricks!

One of the other best things about this recipe is that it can be made in advance. Just remember to add the last bit of onions and cheese just before cooking. This will keep the onions from losing the ‘crisp’ texture.

Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.  It can also be frozen and will keep for 3-4 months in the freezer. Even with canned green beans, we like the flavor much better if we cook the beans for a few minutes with a little bacon grease, garlic salt, and onion powder! Yum! Oh, and we don’t use cheese. I’ve never heard of putting cheese in it?
