Best Copycat Drink

  • This drink recipe is the best for quenching that summer thirst. With the correct ingredients and a little cooling time, a copycat tea with a little tang and a little sweetness will make those hot sweltering summer days more bearable.
  • The other great thing about this lemonade is that there is no need to get in the car and wait in line at the local Starbucks. Portions can be made for the whole family and guests. They will love it. It is so addictively sweet and refreshing.

Ingredients & Variations

TEA Use Tazo passion tea bags for this recipe. This tea has no caffeine (making it great to serve to kids). The ingredients are hibiscus flowers, orange peel, rose hips, and lemongrass. There are so many lush tropical flavors in this tea.

LEMONADE A few ounces of lemonade are all that is needed to give this cold-brewed tea a little extra punch. Try this summer lemonade recipe as the lemonade addition. Or buy any flavor of lemonade from the local supermarket.

VARIATIONS Add some crushed ice to this drink, some coconut water, lemon wedges, or other fruit for a fun twist!

How to Make a Copycat Passion Tea

Summer is calling with this thirst-quenching drink!

  1. Boil water and add tea bags, sugar, and vanilla to steep.
  2. Remove tea bags and refrigerate (per recipe below).
  3. Add ice and lemonade. Shake well.

To serve add a lemon wedge to the rim and a straw for a fun presentation!

Tips for Ice Cold Lemonade

  • It is important to add the tea bags while the water is still hot to steep as much flavor out as possible. But be sure not to boil the water with the tea bags in it!
  • Let the tea bags sit in the hot water and allow it to steep. When done, allow the tea to cool in the refrigerator for at least an hour before adding the lemonade.
  • To make this tea a little sweeter, add sweeteners like honey, sugar, or maple syrup while the tea is warm, and then stir them in.
