4 Ingredient Dessert

Pudding: This recipe calls for instant pudding. Sometimes I use other tasty flavors like vanilla, butterscotch, or banana.

Cookies: Oreos are perfect for ‘dirt’ but you can also use peanut butter cookies or Nilla wafers for ‘sand.’ No need to buy the pricey brands, other store brands will work, too!

Milk: Full-fat cold milk will have the richest flavor, but you can use any milk you like.

Worms: Why stop at gummy worms? Why not gummy bears or sharks, Swedish fish, or gumdrops? How about some M&M’s, candy confetti, sprinkles, or homemade granola?

How to Make Dirt and Worms

  1. Beat pudding and milk in a large bowl (recipe below).
  2. Place a spoonful of cookie crumbs in the bottom of each cup.
  3. Fold half of the cookie crumbs into the pudding and scoop the mixture into each cup.
  4. Top each cup with remaining cookie crumbs and gummy worms.

Recipe Tips

  • Crush cookies quickly by placing them in a zippered bag and using a rolling pin to crush them.
  • Place pudding in a quart-sized bag with a corner snipped off at the bottom for easy squeezing into each cup and zero mess.
  • Use clear disposable cups for easy cleanup!
