Ingredients

Naan Bread: Purchased in 6 to 8-inch sizes, naan is perfect for mini pizza crusts.

Sauce: Buy pizza sauce or marinara sauce and bump up the seasonings with some garlic powder, red pepper flakes, or Italian seasonings.

Pepperoni: Mini pepperonis look better on a mini pizza, but any pepperoni, ham, ground beef, sausage, or leftover chicken or turkey will work. Or make vegetarian naan pizzas with lots of extra melty cheese!

Cheese: For the meltiest cheese, grate the mozzarella instead of buying it pre-shredded, it’s worth the effort! You can also use cheddar, a Mexican blend, or a crumble of feta with the parmesan in Step 4.

Variations

  • If naan bread isn’t available, try using pita bread. The crust will be thinner and crispier.
  • Whatever goes on a pizza can also go on a naan pizza crust. Sliced olives, tomatoes, jalapenos, bell peppers, mushrooms, artichokes, onions, or pineapple.

How to Make Naan Bread Pizza

  1. Place naan on a large baking sheet and top with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Add pepperoni, parmesan cheese, and oregano.
  3. Bake until the cheese is browned and bubbly (recipe below).

Tips for Success

  • Keep toppings to a minimum and be sure they are finely chopped so the pizzas don’t collapse when you hold them.
  • Prevent the edges of the naan from burning by covering the pizza to the edges with the sauce.
  • Let pizzas rest for about two minutes so the cheese can firm up a bit (besides, they’ll be hot)!

Serving and Storing Naan Bread Pizza

Keep leftover cooled naan pizzas in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Enjoy them cold or pop them in the microwave or air fryer to warm them up.

Freeze cooked and cooled pizzas on a baking sheet then transfer them to zippered bags and freeze for up to two months. Allow them to thaw out in the refrigerator or pop one into a backpack or briefcase and they’ll be thawed by lunchtime!

Naan pizza is a quick and delicious way to enjoy pizza night, using soft naan bread as the base and adding your favorite toppings for an easy meal!

Ingredients  

  • 4 naan
  • 8 ounces pizza sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mini pepperoni optional
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Oregano

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Place the naan on a large baking sheet.
  • Divide the pizza sauce over the naan and top each with mozzarella cheese.
  • Add the pepperoni on top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano.
  • Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until browned and bubbly.

Notes

Leftovers will keep in an airtight container for 3 days and in the freezer for 2 months.
