Frito Pie Recipe
Servings: 6 servings
A zesty ground beef filling topped with cheese and crispy corn chips makes a delicious casserole everyone will love!
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion diced
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 16 oz chili beans
- ½ cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 10.5 oz corn chips crushed
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cook ground beef, onion and bell pepper until not pink remains. Drain any fat.
Add the taco seasoning mix, salsa, chili beans with 1/2 cup water. Simmer 10-15 minutes or until thickened.
Place 2/3 of the chips in the bottom of a 2qt casserole dish. Spoon ground beef over the top of the corn chips, spreading evenly.
Cover with the shredded cheese and top with remaining corn chips.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
