Grease an 8x8 inch or 9x9 inch baking dish. Set aside.
Blend cream, sour cream, french onion dip, and melted butter together in a large bowl.
Gently stir in potato chips. Pour half of potato chip mixture into prepared pan.
Sprinkle 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese over top of chip mixture, then pour remaining chip mixture over top. Finish by topping with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350˚ for about 35 minutes or until browned and slightly bubbly.
