Easy Broccoli Salad

Quick and Easy Broccoli Salad with bacon and cheese is a perfect dish for a barbecue, potluck or just dinner with the family!
- 6 cups broccoli
- ½ cup bacon bits or ½ lb bacon cooked and crumbled
- ⅔ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup red onion
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- salt & pepper to taste
- ⅓ cup dried cranberries optional
In a small bowl, mix mayo, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
Chop broccoli florets into small pieces and put into medium sized mixing bowl.
Add diced onion, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon and sunflower seeds to the broccoli.
Add the dressing mix to the other ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
