Ingredients
15
ounces
pickle slices
patted dry (16 ounce jar)
¼
cup
all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
1
teaspoon
pepper
2
eggs
whisked
½
teaspoon
hot sauce
⅓
cup
bread crumbs
⅓
cup
panko
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine flour, garlic powder and pepper in a bowl, eggs and hot sauce in a second bowl, and panko and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
Dip the pickle slices in the flour, then the egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs.
Spray with cooking spray and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-14 minutes flipping the pickles halfway through cooking.
Notes
A 16 ounce jar should yield about 30 pickle slices.
Be sure pickle pieces are very dry so the egg batter and breading will stick.
Cut pickles at least ¼” thick or thicker.
Use tongs for each of the breading steps for even coating.
