16.3ouncebrownie mix1 box, plus oil and eggs as directed on package
16ouncevanilla frosting 1 tub
green food coloring
sprinklesor candy for decorating
small candy cane sticksoptional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350℉. Line an 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment.
Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake according to package directions until set. Allow brownies to cool in pan for 15 minutes. Use the parchment to transfer brownies to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely.
Once fully cooled, cut the brownies into three rows. Cut those rows at an angle to form 5 triangles per row (there will be an odd shape at each end - save these for snacking).
Add 4 drops of green food coloring to the frosting. Mix until fully combined.
Using a piping bag (or resealable bag with a corner cut off), decorate the brownie trees and top with sprinkles or candy.
If desired, add a trunk by sticking a candy cane stick into the base of each brownie tree.
Notes
Christmas tree brownies will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days. They will keep in the refrigerator for 4 days. Brownie trees can be frozen and will keep for 2 months in the freezer.
