Turkey Gravy Without Drippings
Easy rich and flavorful homemade gravy can be made even without drippings!

Ingredients

cup
salted butter
½
cup
all purpose flour
¼
teaspoon
thyme leaves
¼
teaspoon
dried ground sage

turkey broth
more as needed

salt & pepper
to taste
Instructions
To a medium saucepan add butter and melt over medium heat.
Stir in flour, thyme, and sage and cook until fragrant and the mixture starts to lightly brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the broth, a little bit at a time, whisking after each addition until smooth.
Bring to a boil and let boil for 2 minutes.
Season with salt & pepper to taste.
Notes
Not all of the broth may be needed.
Any flavor of broth can be used, but reduced sodium broth is not recommended.
