Ingredients called for on cake mix box(oil, eggs, water)
2packagesinstant banana pudding mix(3.4 oz each)
4cups milk
8ounceswhipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
15Nilla Waferscrushed
Instructions
Prepare cake in a 9x13 pan as directed on package.
Remove from oven and let cool 15 minutes. Poke holes over the whole cake using a wooden spoon handle. Be sure to poke the holes all the way to the bottom of the pan.
In a large bowl whisk together the banana pudding and milk. Keep whisking for 2 minutes or until the pudding has started to thicken. Pour over the cake and smooth with a spatula to fill the holes.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until ready to serve.
Before serving, spread the thawed whip topping over the pudding and sprinkle with crushed Nilla wafer.

Notes
Bake the boxed cake a day before hand and chill until ready for the pudding layer. If making on the same day, be sure cake is well chilled before adding the pudding.
For crunchy Nilla wafers, add to whipped topping just before serving.
