Creamy CrockPot Chicken

This creamy chicken recipe is perfect for new cooks because the ingredients are basically open and pour, then the crockpot does the rest!
- 4 chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
- 1 package Ranch dressing mix
- 1 bell pepper red or green chopped
- 1 garlic clove minced
Season chicken pieces with Italian seasoning. Heat oil in a medium skillet and brown chicken, 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove chicken from the pan and add butter and onion. Cook until onion is tender.
Place chicken in the bottom of a 6 qt slow cooker.
Mix cream cheese, soup, garlic, and dressing mix in a bowl and pour over chicken and add bell pepper.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Remove chicken breasts and shred.
Whisk sauce until it is smooth, stir in chicken.
Serve over rice or pasta.
