Ingredients

stewing beef
trimmed
1 ½

beef broth
low sodium

small onion
diced

soy sauce
low sodium
⅓
cup
brown sugar
½
teaspoon
chili flakes

cloves
garlic
minced

tablespoon
fresh ginger

tablespoons
cornstarch

fresh broccoli florets
Instructions
Add stewing beef, broth, onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, chili flakes, garlic and ginger in a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Cook on low 8-9 hours or on high 3-4 hours or until beef is fork tender.
Combine cornstarch with 3 tablespoons water and whisk into beef mixture. Add broccoli to the slow cooker and cover.
Cook 20-30 minutes or until broccoli is tender crisp.
Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
Freeze beef for 30-45 minutes to make slicing easier!
Be sure meat and broccoli are bite sized for even cooking.
Prep and refrigerate meat and broccoli ahead of time until read to use.
