Summer is finally here and finger foods are always a huge hit for all those backyard BBQ’s. These fruit kabobs, or fruit skewers, are such a fun and easy way to enjoy all the delicious fruits summer has to offer.

Sweet and juicy strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries stacked tightly on a skewer that has been dipped in chocolate and then drizzled with more chocolate. Kids young and old will laugh the night away while enjoying each and every bite.

  • 10 wooden skewers
  • strawberries
  • raspberries
  • blueberries
  • mint (optional)
  • melting chocolate

How To Make Fruit Kabobs

  1. Rinse and pat dry fruit and set aside to air dry. Slice strawberries in thick slices so they can be easily threaded on skewers.

  3. Melt chocolate in the microwave at half power for 30 second increments, stirring between each. Continue until just melted.
  4. Dip the end of each skewer in the warm chocolate and arrange on a serving platter.

Fruit Kabobs with Chocolate Drizzle

Ingredients  

  • 1 12 oz container of strawberries sliced, thick
  • 1 12 oz container of raspberries
  • 1 12 oz container of blueberries
  • 2 cups melting chocolate
  • 1 4 oz container mint leaves
  • 10 wooden skewers

Instructions 

  • Rinse and pat dry fruit and set aside.  Slice strawberries in thick slices so they can be threaded on skewers.  Working with one skewer at a time, thread a mint leaf, sliced strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, leaving about 1/2 an inch at the bottom until all skewers have been made.
  • Using a microwave safe dish or measuring cup melt chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring between each increment until chocolate is smooth.
  • Dip the end of each skewer in the melted chocolate and arrange on a serving platter.  Using a spoon drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the skewers. Serve remaining chocolate as a dip (optional).
