Basket filled with stocking stuffer and gift ideas for men

Do you struggle with what to gifts or stocking stuffers to give your husband/dad/son for Christmas? I find it to be so tough to choose the right gifts and stocking stuffers. If you need some holiday gift giving ideas, I have some great suggestions for you! Every time I needed to buy a gift for my husband I would stress out and wander aimlessly around stores and it always seemed that I ended up getting him the same kinds of things every time.

When I was at Walmart grabbing a few things in the personal care items area I had this great idea on how to take the stress out of gift giving and stocking stuffer ideas for men!  Simply think about and answer these two questions: what is something he does on a regular basis and where does he spend his free time? If the man you’re shopping for had a free day, what would he do with it? Would he go to the driving range? Would he go wash his car? Would he tinker around in the garage? Also, what is something he spends a lot of time doing? Perhaps there is something you could gift him that might make his life easier and give him more time to do the things he enjoys.

I started by grabbing my hubby a Norelco 4100 shaver. This shaver is awesome! It can be used wet or dry so that means if he’s running late he can grab it and head to the shower and just shave in there! It can cut both long and short hair so it doesn’t matter if he’s growing out his stubble a bit or not, it will get the job done!

Once I grabbed the shaver, I wandered the tool section and grabbed a couple screwdrivers (to make up for the ones I used and lost), a few bungee cords because last week my hubby asked me if I had seen where he put them (probably lost those too), I went to the car section and grabbed a few things so he could wash my car…I mean, his car, grabbed a few of his favorite snacks, and then I headed home to create the gift basket! The best part is, most of these items make for the perfect stocking stuffers! So it can either be a gift or stocking stuffers, whatever you need!

When I do a gift basket I normally choose one gift as the main focus and then add smaller, inexpensive items and create everything around that one item. You just simply arrange the items, and you’re done!! It was a huge hit, he absolutely loved it!! His favorite gift of course was the Norelco shaver, but he also really enjoyed everything else.

If you struggle with gift ideas or stocking stuffers for the man in your life, here is a list of suggestions to help you out:

  • a Norelco shaver
  • an electric toothbrush such as Philips Sonicare
  • cologne
  • socks
  • tie
  • deck of cards
  • golf balls
  • tees
  • car washing supplies
  • tools
  • calendar
  • mug
  • favorite snacks
  • gift cards
  • magazine subscription
  • pens
  • guitar picks
  • slippers
  • pajama pants
  • underwear (remember when every year you would get underwear for Christmas?)
  • keychain
  • dice
  • favorite coffee
  • flashlight
  • travel mug

That is just a list of generic suggestions to get you started. Once you get to really thinking about it, it ends up being tough to narrow it all down!
